The Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company supplies a unique range of wargames, scale figures, scale models and accessories. Our products are designed by our own team of sculptors and craftsmen, all of whom are enthusiastic and experienced wargamers. Although the Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company is by now a familiar household name, few people remember its obscure and unusual beginnings. Fewer people still can remember how it came to exist in both the mid Victorian era and the present day simultaneously. Latest NewsJuly 27th, 2011: Modern 40mm changesFrom the end of next month [August 2011.]we will be discontinuing the entire Modern range of figures. The fact is some of the range are now over 10 years old and therefore could not really be called modern anymore. Instead of just leaving a few sparse packs of the most up to date sets we will discontinue all of them. However later in the year we will be releasing a whole brand new range of figures equipped with the very latest in gear, weapons and equipment to bring a range that is truly "Ultra Modern". Old NewsJune 19th, 2011: 40mm range changesIt is with regret that from 20th July 2011,the Cape Frontier war, the Old West, Vignettes and Paper Street Soap Company figure ranges are to be discontinued. Due to the current cost of pewter and the fact that we do not cast our own figures. These combined factors have made these ranges uneconomical at this time. They may return at a later date but this will be dependent upon future costs. Unfortunately those same factors mean that from 20th July 2011 figure costs will also rise. Modern infantry packs in the main will rise to £8.00 and individual figures rise to £3.00. We will for the foreseeable future be concentrating on models which we can produce ourselves in resin, with very limited metal casting required. August 3rd, 2010: Two New RangesWe are proud to announce the first releases of our two new ranges. 1/48th Accessories and the Nautical Nonsense Chandlery. Both will be expanded over time. The Nautical Nonsense Chandlery will soon include more 28mm Boats/Ships both big and small. Some 28mm Naval landing parties of the early 20thC will also be released in due course. The 1/48th accessories range will be found under the 'Limited Run Figures/Models' heading in the catalogue. This will include equipment and other sundry items ideal for 1/48th modelling. These same scale pieces would also be useful for both 28mm and 40mm wargamers. May 26th, 2010: Price increase warning!Unfortunately due to the continued rises in the cost of the materials used in the manufacturing of miniature figurines over the last few years. We are forced to announce a price rise will occur in our 'miniatures' ranges at the end of June 2010. The event is regretted but is unavoidable. We hope that our regular patrons do not wish to 'Storm the HLBS Bastille', in retribution. But hopefully understand that the price increase merely reflects the current changes in material costs.
October 4th, 2009: Limited Run Figures/ModelsWe are proud to announce the release of the Bog-A-Ten rules 10th anniversary edition. To complement this remarkable event we are also are pleased to inform you of a limited re-release of some of our Dinosaur range. April 3rd, 2009: We're back!Following our technical difficulties over the last few weeks we're now finally back on line with a bright shiny new server! In order to concentrate all our efforts on our new upcoming models we've now stopped production of our 28mm models and accessories with the exception of the artillery.
